Yes. Our best price guarantee applies to direct bookings at Bäcksteinerhof. For the same period, the same accommodation, and the same booking conditions, you will get the best available price directly from us.

No. In addition to the accommodation price, a local tax (Gemeindeaufenthaltsabgabe) of €2.20 per person per night is currently charged. Children and teenagers under 14 are exempt. The local tax is paid on-site.

Yes. For direct bookings, a deposit of 25% of the total amount is required for a binding confirmation.

The remaining balance is paid at check-out directly at Bäcksteinerhof. We accept cash, debit cards, EC cards, and credit cards. Alternatively, the entire stay can be paid for via bank transfer before arrival.

The following conditions apply to direct bookings:
Up to 31 days before arrival: no additional cancellation costs
30 to 15 days before arrival: 40% of the total amount
14 to 8 days before arrival: 60% of the total amount
From 7 days before arrival: 100% of the total amount
In case of no-show or early departure: 100% of the total amount

For bookings made through external booking portals, the conditions of the respective booking channel apply.

Late check-in is possible by prior arrangement. We currently charge a surcharge of €15.00 for this. Please inform us as early as possible.

On the day of departure, your accommodation is available to you until 10:00 AM.

Late check-out is possible subject to availability and prior arrangement. We charge €25.00 for this.

We serve breakfast daily from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM.

Our room guests have breakfast in the historic Meranerstube from 1808. Guests in our lofts start the day in the romantic Fireplace Room in the historic barn from 1932.

During breakfast hours, the Meranerstube and the Fireplace Room are available to our guests for breakfast.
Use outside these times is possible by prior arrangement and may—depending on the use—incur a surcharge. Just talk to us.

We would be happy to. Gluten-free or lactose-free alternatives, as well as oat milk, gluten-free rolls, and gluten-free muesli, can be provided with prior notice.
Please inform us about any allergies or special dietary needs before your arrival so that we can prepare accordingly and put together a breakfast that you will enjoy and that is good for you.

Breakfast on the day of arrival is available upon request and subject to availability. However, we ask for your understanding that our capacity is limited and we can only offer breakfast on the day of arrival as well as for external guests when sufficient space is available.

Subject to availability: As we only have a limited number of breakfast tables, our staying guests have priority. If we still have availability, we are also happy to welcome external guests for breakfast.

Yes. All our double rooms and superior rooms have their own balcony or outdoor area. Our lofts also offer private outdoor areas. You can find the exact features in the description of each accommodation.

Yes. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, lofts, and guest areas of Bäcksteinerhof.

We are happy to change towels and bed linen daily if needed. If you would like a change, just let us know.

Of course. If you prefer a different pillow, just let us know. An exchange is gladly possible upon request.

Yes. A travel cot and a bed guard can be provided upon request. It is best to let us know your request before arrival so that we can prepare everything for you.

No. Bäcksteinerhof currently does not have air conditioning.

No. There is no elevator in our house.

No. Our house and accommodations are currently not barrier-free. If you have questions about the accessibility of a specific accommodation, we would be happy to help you personally.

Yes. An additional price per night is charged for pets. Food is not included.

No. Pets are not allowed in our breakfast rooms or on the breakfast terrace.

Yes, a dog also belongs to our farm. However, he does not stay in the guest house.
We ask you not to feed our dog.

We currently do not offer charging facilities for electric cars directly at the farm. However, there are public charging stations in the vicinity.

Yes. A lockable storage room is available for bicycles.

Yes, free of charge in the bicycle room. For safety reasons, bicycles and bicycle batteries may not be taken into the accommodations.

Bäcksteinerhof is quietly located in the countryside and yet less than two kilometers from Merano’s promenades, arcades, cafés, and restaurants.

Yes. A bus stop is located just a few minutes’ walk from the farm. With the bus and the Südtirol Guest Pass, you can easily reach Merano and many other destinations without a car.

Yes. Our guests currently receive a 10% discount on admission to Terme Merano. Upon request, we are also happy to assist you with the prior reservation of your tickets.

Yes. Bathrobes and additional bath towels can be rented from us upon request.

We currently do not offer laundry facilities for guest laundry. However, there are laundromats in the vicinity that you can use easily.

No. Our guests particularly appreciate the quiet and personal atmosphere of the house. To preserve this, external visitors are not permitted in the house.

We try to avoid unnecessary packaging waste and are happy if you support us in this. We particularly ask you to avoid single-use plastic bottles during your stay.

We ask you to independently dispose of glass and deposit bottles you have brought with you, as well as packaging and larger amounts of your own waste.

If you don’t know where something can be disposed of, we will of course be happy to help you.
