A story that lives on<\/h2>\n

The B\u00e4cksteinerhof was first mentioned as early as 1277. Over the centuries, a lot has changed here \u2013 and yet to this day the farm has remained a place where people live, work, and cultivate hospitality. <\/p>\n

Today, the historic ancestral farmstead is run by the Verdorfer family in its 13th generation. For three generations, we\u2019ve also been welcoming guests here. <\/p>\n

To us, hospitality means being personally available, staying attentive, and at the same time giving you the freedom you\u2019re looking for on holiday.<\/p>\n

The B\u00e4cksteinerhof is intentionally meant to remain a small place: personally run, with time for our guests, and with the aim that you don\u2019t just feel accommodated, but truly welcome.<\/p> <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n \n \"\" <\/div>\n\n

Preserve the old. Make room for the new.<\/h2>\n <\/div>\n

The history of the B\u00e4cksteinerhof can still be seen in many places today: in old walls, time-grown structures, and special rooms such as the Merano parlour from 1808.<\/p>\n

For us, preserving doesn\u2019t mean leaving everything unchanged. We want to carry the farm\u2019s story forward and add new accents where they make sense. <\/p>\n

This is how historic building fabric and traditional rooms are intentionally brought together with contemporary architecture, clean lines, and new ideas. This is especially visible in the two lofts in the historic barn and in the romantic fireplace room. Spaces are created that don\u2019t hide where they come from \u2013 and still feel completely at home in the present. <\/p>\n<\/div> <\/div>\n \n <\/section>\n\n

From the field to your table<\/h2>\n

Apples, grapes, and other fruit grow all around the house, setting the rhythm of our year and belonging to the farm for generations.
\nThat\u2019s how the connection between the farm and breakfast becomes naturally tangible.<\/p><\/div> <\/div>\n\n \n \n

For us, farming isn\u2019t a backdrop<\/h5>

but an essential part of our everyday life. Some of what grows in our fields is processed right here on the farm and makes its way to your breakfast table as juice, jam, dried fruit, or fresh fruit.<\/p> <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/article>\n \n \n

We don\u2019t believe a special stay comes from offering as much as possible.<\/p>\n

The B\u00e4cksteinerhof is not meant to be a place that offers a bit of everything. We want to focus on what truly suits us: peace and quiet, personal hospitality, special spaces, good food, and being close to the city without having to give up nature. <\/p>\n

That\u2019s why, for us, quality comes before quantity. At breakfast just as much as in the design of our rooms and lofts, and in the way we continue to develop our farm. <\/p>\n

We don\u2019t have to be the right place for everyone. We want to be a special place for the right guests.
